Configurable Check-In Time Restrictions for Express Kiosk

The Stay - Express Kiosk integration has been enhanced to allow properties to configure a check-in time specific to check-ins performed through Express Kiosk.

Previously, guests could complete the check-in process through Express Kiosk at any time of the day, with no restrictions on early check-ins. With this enhancement, properties can define a check-in time, and guests attempting to check in through the kiosk, before the configured time, will be prevented from doing so.

Properties can also configure a custom message to inform guests when they attempt to check in before the permitted check-in time.

For example, if the check-in time is configured as 1:00 PM, guests will be allowed to check in only after 1:00 PM in the property's selected time zone.

To support this enhancement, a new section, Kiosk Check-In, has been added to the Agilysys Express Mobile interface in Stay (Interfaces Cloud Settings Settings Agilysys Express Mobile) that displays the following fields:

Enabled

This flag supports the following functionality:

  • Enabled: When enabled, users can restrict guests from checking in before the configured time through Kisok.

  • Disabled: When disabled, guests can continue to check-in early as per the existing functionality. The flag will be disabled by default.

Check-In Allowed Time (HR)

The time in hours after which guests are permitted to check in through Kiosk.

Check-In Allowed Time (MIN)

The time in minutes after which guests are permitted to check in through Kiosk.

Check-In Error Message

The message to be displayed when guests attempt an early check-in through Kiosk.
